Solving equations is very easy with excel. Let us see how to solve the following equations using excel solver tool.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

12x+25y+687z=9<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

45x-24y+78z=12<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

567x+2y-7z=123<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Solution:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

1. Open excel and go to Data tab<\/span><\/p>\r\n

2. Check whether there is a group by the name ‘Analysis’. If it is there, then click Solver in the Analysis group as in the picture below.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

3. By default the ‘Analysis’ group will not be available in excel. If it is not available, then you need to load the Solver Add-in programme available for free in Excel.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

4. To load the Solver Add-in, Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now open solver.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Enter the destination range in the box ‘By changing variable cells’ (select C1, C2 and C3 by dragging)<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Enter the constraints inside the box ‘Subject to the Constraints’ by clicking the ‘Add’ button as below.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now click ‘Add’ and insert the next 2 constraints.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Unselect the check-box ‘Make Unconstrained Variables Non-Negative’ and click Solve.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now you get the solution of these equations in the cells C1, C2 and C3.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
